Oh, for art's sake!

It's a test.

I am off to Barcelona. I will return with many photos of curious buildings. It will be fun. In the meantime look at the strange art I sometimes do. I've been really into swirling shapes at the moment. I draw them on everything. Semi-organic looking swirling shapes. It's fun.

I shall return from Barcelona middle of next week. Maybe I'll have drawn while out there too. Is there anywhere I have to visit that isn't obvious?

Punctual Paper Gifts

With Valentines day just around the corner I've been busy making some lovely love themed bits and bobs. Some will head to Made in Newcastle and some will find their way on to my Etsy shop. I am rather excited about the whole thing.

The two lovely cards in the picture are going to be available very soon. Keep your eyes peeled. The umbrella couple is my favourite right now.

Leaving It Behind

So about 30 minutes ago I made the decision to leave DeviantArt (an online art community type thing). I was there for six years and recently it had dawned on me that I was getting no real benefit from it, no enjoyment. The signal to noise ratio was all wrong and that.

So it is the end of an era, after six years I say goodbye to DeviantArt. I will now be using my blog to share my various artsy bits and bobs, much as I've been doing already.

Now, on with the show.

Made in Newcastle is back, we have taken up residence in 79 Grainger Street (that's next to Greggs and opposite the Bigg Market).
Once again MiN is a wonderful shop full of hand made goods from artists, crafters and makers of Newcastle. My creative little bits and pieces will be on sale there along with many others.
